Kuwait - Zain , the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced that well-regarded Middle East business publication Arabian Business, has named the company the 'Best Telecom Operator in Kuwait' for the year 2014; recognition given for the second consecutive year.
The annual awards ceremony was held at the Crown Plaza Kuwait City, with numerous corporations in Kuwait being recognized for their achievements and leadership over the last year.
Zain 's latest recognition highlights the efforts being invested to raise customer satisfaction to the highest levels possible. It symbolizes yet another achievement in a year filled with innovative service launches and advanced technology introductions to the Kuwaiti telecom market, which have all been aimed at exceeding customers' expectations.
Commenting on this award from Arabian Business, Zain Kuwait Chief Executive Officer, Omar Saud Al Omar said, "This achievement is a source of pride and delight for every member of the Zain family. It reflects a continuous effort to deliver the highest satisfaction levels to our customers. To win this award is a significant achievement given the intense competition present in the Kuwait mobile market. Al Omar continued, "2014 has been a year full of strides to launch the latest technologies and services in Kuwait. In June, we announced the successful launch of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) for the first time in Kuwait over our advanced nationwide 4G LTE network. Furthermore, Zain announced a partnership with Huawei to inaugurate the first-of-its-kind Joint Innovation Center in the Middle East, to serve as a research hub from which Zain will be able to further advance its mobile broadband network, services, and applications offered to customers in Kuwait and across the region."

The CEO also commended the efforts applied by Zain staff who have been instrumental in driving the company's growth, and widely-recognized success and leadership.
