NetAachen, a joint venture between NetCologne and accom, has expanded its fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) infrastructure to Brand, a district of Aachen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Customers are now able to access the internet at maximum download rates of 50Mbps in some areas, with expansion to other parts of Brand to follow soon. In total, around 12,000 homes will be able to benefit from the rollout of the new network.
