The future of Argentina's pay-TV will be discussed at the Jornadas Internacionales from 17-19 September, which will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of cable TV operations in the country.
The Asociación Argentina de Televisión por Cable (ATVC) and Cámara de Productores and Programadores de Señales Audiovisuales (CAPPSA) are organising the event in Buenos Aires which will gather pay-TV industry players from Argentina, Latin America and the US.
Over the three days, conferences, workshops, debates and expositions will be held at the Hilton hotel in the country's capital. Although most of the programme has not been unveiled yet, the organisers have confirmed a conference from the US Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and an event for audiovisual producers.
Last year's event focused on Latin America's audiovisual regulations and how the different laws may be creating unequal conditions for competition in the region, driving different development speeds.
