King Abdulaziz University ( KAU ) has launched a consultancy office offering technological solutions for employees wishing to specialize in an IT service management career with a globally recognized foundation certification.
"IT Expert House" was launched under KAU 's "Business and Knowledge Alliance" program.
The office has organized a three-day training program in various technical courses, which will kick off next month, for professionals of the IT sector.
A team of experts in the business information systems (BIS) field, including academics and practitioners, will provide high quality, efficient and cost-effective advanced technological solutions to learners.
Adnan Albar, director of IT Expert House, said the program aims to solve problems in the business environment from a holistic perspective and increase the work efficiency within institutions.
Several corporate sectors and professionals are witnessing a trend focusing on vocational and technical training to increase productivity, he said. "With this program, they will be able to acquire technical skills crucial to business development."
Several professionals in the IT sector are keen to take up this new certification course.
"This course will help employees stay up-to-date with ever-changing technology," said Mohammed Rushdi, an executive trainer at IT Expert House. "As businesses these days demand continuous learning, we are offering certification and mid-career courses to enhance employment prospects during their careers."
He added that a large number of professionals have registered for the course in a bid to enhance their careers.
The ITIL, PRINCE2 and COBIT 5 foundation certification training and examination prep courses are among other technical courses offered by IT Expert House. These courses address the learning needs of working professionals to upgrade their skills.
Syed Ahmed, a business manager, feels the need to get this certification. "Such courses are referred to as proactive learning, which essentially clinches the natural market forces of supply and demand while offering a permanent link with the constantly changing technological world," he said.
