Telecom Italia has presented new ICT services at Forum PA 2012, a trade show in Rome designed specifically for local and central public administration. According to the operator, the services will increase efficiency, simplify processes and streamline costs and improve quality of life for the public using the 'Italian Cloud'. The services range from 'Smart Services' for the realisation of 'smart cities', to energy-saving technology, security, digitisation of land management processes, computerisation of schools, services to support the police, to telemedicine platforms, applications for electronic management of medical and health benefits, to specific services for tourism, the digitisation of bureaucratic processes and innovative applications for public communication in mobility. With the Italian Cloud, Telecom Italia is providing administrations and the public with a wide range of flexible, high-performance services, thanks to its seven national data centres.
