Ncell has become Nepal’s first telecom operator to launch Voice over LTE (VoLTE) international roaming for both outbound and inbound travelers. This enables customers to enjoy high-definition (HD) voice calls and fast data services while traveling abroad. After initially offering inbound VoLTE roaming for international visitors, Ncell has now introduced outbound VoLTE roaming, starting with India, in partnership with Airtel.
VoLTE technology ensures faster call connections and superior voice quality over 4G networks. Ncell is also testing outbound roaming with major global operators such as Jio, Vodafone, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Softbank, NTT Docomo, China Mobile, China Unicom, Bell, and Telus, aiming to expand its international roaming network. The company continues to enhance connectivity for international roamers visiting Nepal and Nepali travelers abroad.
