NTT SmartConnect announced the opening of a connection point for Megaport Japan, a global network service provider, at its Sonezaki Data Center on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Megaport provides a multi-cloud connectivity service that connects more than 975 data centers and over 410 service providers, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, and others. By leveraging this service, clients can achieve flexible bandwidth adjustments, cost savings, rapid deployment improvements, and efficient connections to a variety of cloud services.
Additionally, this milestone marks the first-ever launch of Megaport's Internet Exchange (IX) service, "MegaIX," in Japan, offered from the same location.
Moving forward, NTT SmartConnect will continue working in collaboration with Megaport to support customer business efficiency and global expansion.
