Raonsecure will add powerboat operating practice content to its subsidiary Raonmeta's metaverse education platform 'Metademy.'
Raonmeta announced on the 12th that it has signed a 'business agreement for cooperation on metaverse-based practice content' with Yellowbox, a company specializing in developing virtual reality (VR) educational content simulations.
Raonmeta explained, "As the population of water leisure activities continues to grow, the number of people holding or preparing to obtain a license for operating power water leisure devices such as boats and yachts is increasing," adding, "Consequently, the demand for powerboat operating practice is rising."
Through this business agreement, Raonmeta plans to add Yellowbox's 'powerboat operating practice' content to its metaverse-based practice service 'Metademy' and offer it in the metaverse environment.
The content has enhanced realism by replicating an actual marine area in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. The company explained that it provides an environment similar to actual boat operating situations by applying a water friction resistance feature based on the speed of objects when driving a powerboat.
A evaluation system for two types of license exam courses, A and B, which are included in the actual power water leisure device operating license exam, has been established to aid examinees in preparing for their exams. After obtaining the license, individuals can enhance their proficiency through repetitive practice in a realistic environment via an autonomous driving mode.
Yoon Won-seok, head of the Metademy business division at Raonmeta, said, "We will continue to lead the metaverse-based practice market by continuously adding specialized content in various fields."
