Eridan, a startup developing the world’s smallest, lightest, and most efficient 5G radio, announced a strategic partnership with Skylark Wireless, to deliver high-performance Open RAN solutions designed to power the next generation of wireless infrastructure.
The collaboration is supported by recent NTIA grant awards through the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, part of a federal initiative to accelerate U.S.-based innovation in secure, open wireless networks.
Skylark, a networking hardware startup specializing in Television White Space (TVWS) systems and Massive-MIMO technologies, will incorporate Eridan’s MIRACLE radio unit into its fully software-defined Massive MIMO architecture, unlocking new levels of efficiency and performance. Eridan’s radio delivers ultra-low Error Vector Magnitude (EVM), enabling a cleaner signal, meaning fewer errors, higher data integrity, and greater throughput, especially at the cell edge where connectivity typically drops off. Combined with its unmatched power efficiency, the MIRACLE radio enables more sustainable, high-performance wireless systems ideal for both dense urban and resource-constrained environments.
Together, Eridan and Skylark offer a powerful, American-made wireless solution that redefines performance, efficiency, and flexibility for Open RAN deployments. Key attributes include:
Clean Signal Performance: Eridan’s ultra-low EVM radio ensures high data accuracy and increased throughput, particularly at the cell edge
Power Efficiency: Eridan’s MIRACLE radio consumes dramatically less energy, reducing costs and increasing viability in constrained environments
Flexibility: Skylark’s fully software-defined Massive MIMO architecture can be dynamically configured for commercial, enterprise, and public sector use cases
System Efficiency: Skylark’s patented techniques extend range, enhance system-wide performance, and digitally mitigate interference
U.S. Manufacturing: Both companies design and assemble their products in the United States, supporting national security and domestic supply chain resilience
The collaboration is part of Eridan’s broader commercialization effort, which is supported by its $36.8 million NTIA grant. The funding will accelerate the development, interoperability testing, and field validation of the company’s MIRACLE RU with mobile network operators around the globe.
