Telenet has acquired the broadcasting rights for the German Bundesliga until 2029. This means that German top football with all its stars, and many Belgians, is returning home to Play Sports after seven years. This is good news for football fans, because the Bundesliga is exclusively on Play Sports. From the next season, German top football can be seen again on the Play Sports channels and via the Play Sports app and this until the '28-'29 season. A certain selection of matches from the Bundesliga 2 will also be covered.
The Bundesliga adds even more fire and passion to the Play Sports offering with, besides an exciting title and relegation battle, among other things 'Der Klassiker' between FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund and the 'Borussen derby' between the same Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach. Furthermore, after the promotion of Hamburger SV, the 'Nordderby' with Werder Bremen and the Hamburg city derby against FC St. Pauli are also on the program again.
From 22 August, Play Sports will be covering the Bundesliga matches every weekend and will also regularly provide the necessary studio support and expert analysis from Dennis Xhaët, Bart Raes, Filip Joos, Hein Vanhaezebrouck, Bob Peeters, Frank Boeckx, etc.
