CST issues the Saudi Internet Report 2024

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) issued the Saudi Internet Report 2024, offering reliable data about the internet ecosystem and its usage in Saudi Arabia, as well as tracking service quality advancements according to the latest statistics.

The report aims to enhance digital services, enable investors and entrepreneurs, and contribute to the development of a thriving digital economy.

The report showed various indicators and data highlighting the users' behavior and internet usage in the Kingdom during 2024, as it indicated that internet penetration in Saudi Arabia has reached 99%.

It highlighted that the peak hours of Internet usage span is from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and pinpoint Saturday as one of the busiest days of the week.

Also, mobile phones emerged as the most used devices for browsing the internet, accounting for 99.4% of usage compared to other devices.

The report also included a study on online shopping behavior, revealing that 93.1% of online shopping occurs on local websites.

The data showed that 21.5% of internet users in Saudi Arabia use various types of AI tools.

The report revealed detailed information about Saudi Arabia's global excellence in internet indicators, with the average mobile data consumption per person reaching 48 GB monthly, which is three times the global average.

The annual growth of Saudi domain names reached 25%, equivalent to eight times the global average.

Saudi Arabia ranks among the top five countries in the G20 for mobile internet speeds, reflecting the advancement and development of digital infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and contributing to the expansion of internet penetration and broader access to its services. To view the report:
