UAE-based telco du has launched a GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offering to enable enterprises and government entities to access the necessary compute power to adopt AI more cost-effectively.
The GPUaaS solution, launched by du Tech (du's ICT services arm) on Monday, provides customers with access to high-powered GPU compute power, which du said will enable them to transform their business operations by developing and deploying AI solutions more effectively and efficiently.
By utilising GPUs, businesses can expect to see significant improvements in processing speeds, cost efficiency, scalability and accuracy, among other benefits, du said.
For example, GPUs deliver accelerated processing speeds that in turn enables quicker training of AI models, leading to rapid deployment of AI solutions. The cost efficiencies can be achieved via reduced opex and lower energy consumption over time.
Meanwhile, du added, scalability allows for GPU clusters to be expanded to accommodate larger datasets and more complex AI models, ensuring that performance is not compromised.
“Our GPU-as-a-Service is designed to meet the expanding needs of AI, offering businesses tailored solutions for high-intensity computing environments,” said du’s Chief ICT Officer Jasim Al Awadi in a statement. “This service provides the flexibility to deploy AI technologies without the hefty investment or management of an expensive digital infrastructure.”
