TikTok has launched its Family Pairing feature in Nepal to empower parents and guardians in managing their teens’ online experiences. This feature provides families with tools to customize safety, privacy, and well-being settings, such as limiting screen time and controlling interactions, helping foster safer digital habits.
Parents can link their TikTok accounts with their teens’ accounts via a simple QR code scan, gaining access to over 15 safety controls, such as restricting direct messaging, setting age-appropriate feeds, and managing account discoverability. The goal is to support families in creating healthy, safe, and informed online experiences.
As part of this initiative, TikTok is conducting a nationwide awareness campaign featuring celebrities and influencers to promote the new feature across Nepal. The company continues to prioritize user safety and digital well-being, working with the Government of Nepal to ensure a positive online environment for all.
