Chinese company Taavun (Pvt) Limited has decided to make investment in Pakistan for manufacturing smart phone.
As per the media report, the company has made necessary arrangements for manufacturing low cost smart phones with latest features.
Chief executive officer of Taavun (Pvt) Limited Shahbaz Khan and CEO Wateen Adil Rashid met Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja last week and discussed prospects of investing in Pakistan.
Ms Fatima highlighted vast opportunities for investment in the IT and Telecom sector of Pakistan. She said that the government was utilizing all resources to bring Foreign Direct Investment. She said that the private sector will be supported as it has huge potential of increasing exports. She said youth are a great asset and steps are underway for their development. She Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan of the UAE for his special interest in investing telecom sector in Pakistan.
