Sacred Sites in Mecca, 8 Dhu al-Hijjah 1442 AH (corresponding to July18, 2021): stc’s network in Mina has witnessed a remarkable movement with the arrival of Doyof Al Rahman from the early morning hours of 8 Dhu al-Hijjah 1442 AH, Yawm al-Tarwiyah (the Day of Quenching Thirst), as the rate of traffic in Muna, by noon of the same day, increased by more than 400%, compared to the same time last year.
The Digital Operations Control Center, which was recently launched at stc complex in Riyadh as the largest control and monitoring center in the region, has monitored the difference in the movement of services in parallel with the strategy of delivering more services through the latest networks. In fact, the voice traffic recorded more than 737% growth compared to last year, with more than 65% delivered through the 4G network to enhance customer experience in voice services, while the 4G and 5G networks have carried more than 96% of the internet traffic in Mina.
The Digital Operations Control Center is working around the clock on several modern proactive processes, including predicting internal risks in particular or external ones, such as weather, rain, etc. to ensure network performance and customer experience regarding the desired objective, and following up on stc’s strategy to deliver its services using the latest technologies to enhance the experience of customers in general, and pilgrims in particular, in order to reflect the work made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to improve the services provided to the pilgrims year after year.
