Amino is suppling Finnish operator DNA with both mobile and set-top box end-to-end service delivery for its multiscreen TV service, the tech company has confirmed.
DNA has expanded its TV service, deploying the Amino MOVE cloud TV platform to support its recent launch of DNA TV-hubi – its new Android TV 4K UHD device – in the home. This provides customers with access to a range of services, including all Finnish channels and a wide range of pay-TV content, video on demand and network personal video recorder (NPVR).
Other third-party apps such as YouTubeTM, Deezer and Netflix are available from the Google PlayTM app store.
DNA VP of Entertainment Business Jarno Haikonen says: “We want to offer our customers a TV service which makes it easy to move between different types of content from one screen to another with a unified user experience. With the help of our latest product launch, DNA TV-hubi, with the DNA TV application, developed by Amino, we are able to sell our pay TV services to all Finnish people either through cable, terrestrial or IPTV.”
Amino has been working with DNA since 2010 to build its multiscreen TV service, which has been steadily growing in richness of the content and functionality as well as popularity in line with booming consumption of mobile data in the country.

MOVE now also supports the delivery of TV to the home. In addition to developing the new TV-hubi interface, Amino has integrated DNA-operated Verimatrix digital rights management to its Amino MOVE platform. Live TV streams to DNA TV-hubi come from the DNA platform.
