SAMENA Telecommunications Council, launched in April 2006 and headquartered in Dubai, UAE, embodies a community of tri-regional telecom players. The council aims to serve as a vehicle not only for its members but also for other telecom entities in South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa to incubate ideas and to develop means for operators and service providers to gain traction in a collaborative, informative, and consistent manner, facilitated by active involvement of regulatory authorities, vendors, and the industry media.
