Russian mobile giant MegaFon has added a fifth region to its Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) footprint, namely Chita Oblast, which is situated in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The cellco claims that its deployment of more than 100 base transceiver stations (BTS) gives it ubiquitous coverage of Chita, as well as coverage of Agin-Buryat Okrug, an administrative division of Zabaykalsky Krai. The network, which is capable of delivering speeds of up to 200Mbps, currently covers Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and Rostov-on-Don.
