Huawei chooses Airport Ads® to reach upper end market

Electronics and technology brand Huawei has recently implemented an airport campaign with Airport Ads®. The objective was to reach a tech-savvy upper end market with an appetite for new tech products and the airport environment is an ideal space for attracting the attention of this consumer.

“Our research has demonstrated that air travellers are well-versed in how to use smart devices and appreciate knowing about what’s new on the market. In this respect, Huawei are showcasing their new Mate 7LTE with extended battery capacity and 6 inch display at the 3 major airports,” says Mzukisi Deliwe, director of Airport Ads®.

At OR Tambo International, Huawei has branded escalators and wall murals. A large, four-wall panorama at King Shaka International Airport, welcomes flyers to Durban. At Cape Town International Airport, Huawei branding is present in the domestic departures lounge within the retail area.

“For advertisers who want to capture the attention of upper LSM household decision-makers, airports are the perfect option as travellers experience high dwell times whilst waiting to board flights. Furthermore, in an increasingly cluttered media landscape, having brand ownership of a clean, minimalist environment provides an excellent return on investment,” concludes Deliwe.
