AT&T has expanded its 4G LTE coverage in South Florida with upgrades to roughly 125 cell sites from Miami-Dade County to the Treasure Coast, the company said Thursday.
The company said the following areas in Palm Beach County will benefit from the upgrades: Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Jupiter.
“Our goal is for our customers to have an extraordinary experience, and they’ll be able to download, upload, stream and game faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network,” said AT&T Florida President Joe York. “As part of the South Florida community, we’re always looking for new opportunities to provide enhanced coverage, and our investment in the local wireless network is another way we’re accomplishing that.”
Since Jan. 1, AT&T has added extra capacity to nearly 250 cell sites and activated 37 new sites in South Florida.
