Huawei to invest US$1.5 billion in México

Huawei, Chinese leading ICT solutions provider, expects to invest USD 1.5 billion in Mexico within the next five years, as was announced by Huawei Mexico CEO Mark Xueman.

Huawei Enterprise is an ICT solutions and service provider, committed to being the most innovative and optimal ICT technology partner for global enterprises.

With the slogan “A Better Way”, Huawei Enterprise also has a Marketing & Solutions Department which provides enterprise wireless, network energy, vertical industry, and horizontal solutions. 

The Chinese based company officially confirmed that it will start the construction of four specialised telecommunication services facilities in the State of Queretaro, in Central Mexico (120 miles North of Mexico City). This project will generate approximately 1,100 new direct jobs, according to the report.

Huawei Technologies Co. will spend the money over the next five years on four centers specializing in telecommunications services in Querétaro.

The company made the decision to invest based on its growth expectations for this country, said its Mexican chief executive officer, Mark Xueman. “Mexico is a priority country for Huawei.”

The four centers will be the Global Technical Care Center, the Regional Center for Network Operations, the Regional Innovation Center and the Regional Technical Training Center.

These centers, which will be located in the Innovation Technology Park in the municipality of El Marqués, will require more than 100,000 specialized employees in the next few years, the firm said. 

The first of these centres is expected to start operations in the second half of 2015.
