Through a multilateral content agreement, Wuaki.tv, Gol T and Totalchannel are mixing up their portfolios, with Wuaki.tv broadcasting the majority of Mediapro's football programming, and Mediapro's platforms adding movies and series from the over-the-top (OTT) service.
wuakiIn a promotion running until the end of November, Gol T, which used to be a channel focused only on Spanish and international football, will include series and films from Wuaki.tv – including The Walking Dead, Castle, Iron Man 2 and Untouchables – at no extra cost for the first three months.
Wuaki.tv will take on football programming, extending a collaboration between Mediapro and the OTT service which began during the World Cup last summer, when Wuaki.tv was licensed to broadcast the championship's matches, becoming the first online-only operator to offer such a service in Spain.
According to Mediapro, the promotion will make the schedules of Gol T, Wuaki.tv and Totalchannel similar. The programming will include the main matches of La Liga, the European League, the Premier League and Champions League from next season, plus Wuaki.tv's Selection package which gives access to unlimited video-on-demand (VOD) content, and Totalchannel's children's TV and documentary networks.
