Argentina's digital TV reaches 87% of population

José Rivera Font, VP for Latin America at Sony Pictures, will be presenting the Crackle strategy for the region.

"The OTT service offers engagement to Hollywood content, which is profitable to many brands," Rivera Font told NexTV Latam, the news service of analysis firm Dataxis, which sponsors the summit. "Users are looking for entertainment, at every time and everywhere," he added, ahead of the conference about the free OTT service which has operated in LATAM since 2013.

The Mexican event will be centred on OTT-VOD strategies, multiscreen initiatives and interactive TV, although other trends in the video industry such as hybrid TV, IPTV, added-value services and UltraHD will also be addressed.

During the two-day conference, Luis Fernando Borjón Figueroa from the Mexican institute of telecoms IFT, Patricio Lombardo from Ericcson, Jenaro Martínez, director of Axtel TV, Fidela Navarro, director of TV Azteca premium channels, José Vielma, VP of Telecable and Sergio Cervantes, sales director at FOX International Channels, will be among those giving their views on the TV sector in Mexico and Latin America.
