Dell Services announces US$120 million IT infrastructure deal with CDC

Dell Services today announced its $120 million plus deal to supply IT infrastructure, application and user support services to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Under the five-year Information Technology Infrastructure Support Services (ITISS) contract, Dell will ensure IT support to CDC scientists and administrators to protect America from health, safety and security threats.

The CDC, Atlanta, Ga., has responsibility for promoting health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury and disability. For the past 11 years, Dell has partnered with the CDC to ensure uninterrupted research for its 16,000 researchers and end users conducting biomedical research and public health preparedness and response.

CDC has developed strategies to use information technology to effectively and efficiently facilitate the mission, while protecting the integrity and confidentially of its information data resources. Dell will provide timely, comprehensive, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to ensure mission and program accomplishment.
