Verizon Wireless, an operator of 4G LTE and 3G networks, announced on Thursday the enhancement of its fourth generation (4G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) network coverage in Stamford, Connecticut.
This enhancement increased network coverage in and around downtown Stamford. Verizon Wireless first debuted its 4G LTE network in Connecticut in June 2011.
According to Verizon, its 4G LTE offers customer speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G networks.
Reportedly, Verizon Wireless completed USD245m in wireless network enhancements across New England in 2013, increasing the company's regional network investment to USD3.6bn since its inception in 2000.
