SAMENA recently participated in a B2B Exhibition called Connect2010 in the Karachi Expo Center, Karachi, Pakistan.

The exhibition was a three-day event and was held from May 8 to May 10. The 1st day was for IT and a speakers' panel was organized to discuss the future of IT in Pakistan, which ranks among the most lucrative and most expansive IT markets in the world, currently in the process of collaborating with some of the world's largest IT industries in the region.

The 2nd day (May 9) was devoted to the youth of Pakistan. Students from different academic institutes participated in the event and demonstrated their IT and technology projects. This day received much interest from the participants for Visions and the Career Portal of SAMENA.

The 3rd day (May 10) was devoted to telecommunications and ICT Industry. Mr. Izhar Ahmad (Director, Markets & Trends Research - SAMENA) represented SAMENA in a non-run-of-the-mill style presentations, titled "Corroborating the Need to Collaborate", which invited much interest from the audience and especially from the Pakistan Chambers of Commerce. As a result of the marketing of the SAMENA, visitors encouraged SAMENA to take an aggressive role in reaching out the Chinese to balance out the power-struggle that may soon begin within SAMENA as a mostly "Arabized" organization. Furthermore, some organization expressed solid interest in joining the SAMENA membership.

We believe that, with a minimalistic utilization of financial resources, we were able to achieve the ultimate goal: market SAMENA and be counted among those few organizations who take active part in the industry. The goal was achieved.
