The
SAMENA Regulatory Committee is designed to tackle regulatory challenges
faced by fixed, cellular, and satellite operators. The committee is
an indispensable part of SAMENA’s advocacy support mechanism and is
very active in handling issues of urgency. Current focus areas of the
committee include WiMAX, market liberalization, and convergence.
The
SAMENA Technology Committee is the council’s technology arm for
bringing technology focus areas to the front. Tackled with full member
cooperation, the committee works to shortlist technology issues, trends,
and important needs and then devises approaches for addressing them.
